"Orgasmic"
There really is a first time for everything. When I think back to my foundation year I had actually considered studying architecture as a degree. Ultimately I felt better suited to graphic design and pursued that as a career instead. So to be given the chance to become a temporary architect (my lecturers refused to refer to me as anything else) and actually create a complete model, to scale! Was rewarding and almost surreal. Given that I had not completed the project alone and had worked in a team I feel as though I definitely pulled my weight and proved that not only can I work as part of a team but can also adapt to whatever project I was designing for. It was no longer an excuse to say I was a graphic designer and not an architect, I was being taught the same and could still apply myself to the task. Even if I do not end up doing another architectural project, I learnt skills and methods that expand on any skills I had acquired through self learning and learning at Cov uni.
Seeing the final project complete in all it's glory was extremely fulfilling. Despite many many hiccups we had reached the end goal and done ourselves proud. It would have been easy to cop out and pick a safer, cheaper and less complicated option/project but where was the fun in that?! In a class like this it was so easy to appreciate and admire everyones work. For undergraduate students they are amazingly talented and I got a chance to share that with them.
