Dusting off my lens off...Trying to

"Is it just me taking the photos?"

As part of my internship I have been given the opportunity to take photos for some of the excursions that the organisation takes their students on. Now understandably it is a bit risky for me to be the chosen one but my interest and determination to improve my photography skills meant that if they trusted me, I had to trust myself.

The trip was to a city called Toledo located near Spain, a day trip that allowed about 50 people and I to explore the city and get to learn about some of the history associated with and within the area. It was somewhere I had on my list of visits, so I was extremely happy to go along. Myself and another intern were selected to take photos and between ourselves aimed to captured as much as possible. The first two things I learnt was to not get lost/left behind and that sometimes your own interests had to come second when you were the designated photographer. I'm used to taking multiple photos (and videos for my VLOGs) when I go on trips I feel as though it is the best way to create memories and remember as much of the trip as possible. But this was for my own leisure so doing it somewhat professionally not only put on a bit of pressure but meant I was definitely more methodical in everything I did.

With that being said I had to remember to enjoy myself a little and remember that I was doing something I love and truly have a passion for. Between ourselves Maddie (the other photographer) and I made sure we covered each others 'slack' and covered all the important moments. It was fun, eye opening and truly a great chance to start something different. Now for the next trip and some more practice.

(Below are some of the photos from the trip, practice does and will make perfect I'll get there eventually)
