Tourist to a tour guide

"Welcome to Madrid"

Nothing tests your knowledge like having to teach someone what you think you know. And when it came to it I think I would give myself an A for effort. Having gone around Madrid engaging with the locals and really getting to know the culture it was time to show someone else what I had seen with my own eyes. I still haven't been to everywhere nor do I know everything but safe to say there are some things and some places that just need to be seen when you're in Madrid. The three magic words Paella, Sangria y Tapas! Well that's me being rather biased but the point is there's a lot to see in Madrid. Now I've been treating it as though I'm here for a short time only. It is so easy to get complacent and comfortable and then reach the end of the journey only to realise you haven't been to or done half of what you set out to do.

We walked, we ate and we photographed and it was honestly fun to see Madrid again through fresh eyes almost. I haven't even gone through half of my journey yet here and I already know I'm going to miss it. With that said I know there's still much to do and see and I honestly don't want to leave any stone unturned. Exploring the area with someone new meant even I saw things I hadn't before, a little bit of this and that I intend to dabble everywhere and do almost everything.
